Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist, and is a competitor within the UFC flyweight division. Valentina is her younger sister and a fellow UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Milliner by unanimous decision. Antonina kept her winning streak going by getting bronze and silver medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, a Gold medal in the year 2011, and the 2016 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia began her professional journey in 2003 and was the winner of an award at the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016, and also the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas last at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won via unanimous verdict. Antonina Schevchenko began her professional MMA professional career back in the year 2002, with an impressive win against Anara Baanova, during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She took the win in the second round by TKO and won her next 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled a record of 3-0. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA in order to concentrate on her kickboxing, and she returned to the ring in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa with a unanimous win. She was able to beat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She quit the club in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's striking skills were superior and allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina took part in her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took the win by unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina rebounded from the defeat, and won Lucie Prudilova in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler who was able to win the fight by back naked choke submission. This was by far the most exciting fight of night for this fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, but fell to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina suffered a loss to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
